Who am I ?

William Callewaert, I am a reader among many others. For many years, I have been passionate about books and literature, which carry us away, make us dream, but also invite us to question the world around us.

I have also gradually discovered, through chance and encounters, that a book is even more than the text it contains. It has a date of printing, a binding that has dressed and preserved it over time, but also a history linked to its era, its previous owners, and the messages or marks that may have been left inside.

All of this together is what makes a book so enchanting, so fascinating, and so dear to our hearts.

What direction do I wish to give this bookshop?

The aim of this online bookshop is to offer a wide and carefully curated range of works, highlighting the many facets of both antiquarian and modern books, so that everyone may find what they seek: a beloved text in a fine binding, a first edition, or a volume intimately linked to a particular era, and more besides.

I also wish to offer a diversity of prices, making room both for exceptional pieces and for more accessible volumes, allowing curious newcomers to be gently introduced to the world of bibliophilia.

The catalogue will continue to grow over time and through my ongoing research, with a discreet specialization in the great works of French and international literature to which I am particularly attached.

Ideas are already taking shape, and others will emerge in due course. I am considering, in particular, the creation of a dedicated podcast, presenting selected works or literary themes, as well as the future addition of carefully chosen objects—guided by an aesthetic sensibility—designed to complement your bookshelves, living rooms, or any other space devoted to reading.
